Shaheen Falcon with prey... Captured a breathtaking moment in the skies of Lonavala grasslands - a rare sighting of the magnificent Shaheen Falcon in flight with its prey. Witnessing this elegant hunter in action is a true privilege, as these birds are not commonly seen in Western Maharashtra. The encounter of capturing the Shaheen Falcon with its kill is a testament to nature's raw beauty and the fierce grace of this remarkable bird. In the vibrant depths of Nagarahole Coorg National Park, a sub-adult tigress moves gracefully through the dense jungle foliage. Her sleek, muscular frame is highlighted by the dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy, casting intricate patterns of light and shadow on her striking orange coat adorned with bold black stripes.Young Explorer Indeed.
During a winter birding session in Purbasthali, amidst a foggy morning, I embarked on a quest to capture the perfect avian moment. After hours of patient observation, I spotted a White-breasted Kingfisher perched on a bamboo stalk. Sensing an opportunity, I decided to wait, my camera poised for action. Half an hour later, the Kingfisher made a dramatic catch, seizing a large frog and returning to its perch. As I pressed the shutter, it began to fly, the frog clutched in its beak. Capturing this incredible moment felt surreal, a testament to nature's raw beauty and the thrill of the hunt.
About Photographer
I'm Tanmoy Das Karmakar from Kolkata, West Bengal. I've started my wildlife Photography from 2018. Later on I found my passion and interest in birds and wildlife photography, especially action moments. From the beginning I participated in many photography contests and exhibitions and regularly followed others photographers' work in Facebook and Instagram. Then I made a wildlife photography channel and contacted some of my photographer friends and went to various national parks, bird sanctuaries, and photography exhibitions with them. I visited many national parks and bird sanctuaries for photography. Gradually I became an expert in birds and wildlife photography and till now I'm learning photography from Google as well as many reputed photographers. I believe there is no end to learning. Till now I'm trying to improve my photography skills to better and continue pushing boundaries in the world of photography. I'm thankful to my parents for supporting me a lot in my wildlife journey.
