The most beautiful and mysterious wild cat of urban jungle,Leopards fascinate me. While hiking in leopard territory in Mumbai.I peered into the void of empty canal expecting emptiness,darkness but the wild had other plans. To avoid the heat and temperature of the busiest city the leopard finds itself a naturally cross ventilated canal. No roar, no movement, no warning, just a presence so powerful, it silences everything within you. In that quiet exchange, you understand this is their kingdom, and you are merely passing through. Respect and nurture the nature it will surprise you and will teach you life like no one else.

Between Giants As the first light spread across the grasslands, two elephant families paused in a moment of quiet connection. The adults approached each other calmly while the calves stayed close, protected within the safety of the herd. Then came a brief yet meaningful gesture — the gentle intertwining of trunks between the two females. For elephants, touch is language. A trunk can comfort, reassure, recognize, and strengthen bonds built over generations. In that silent exchange lay the essence of elephant society — family, memory, and trust. The two calves, standing on opposite sides of the frame, seemed to mirror the future watching the wisdom of the present. Surrounded by vast open grasslands, the scene reflected both the strength and vulnerability of these giants in a rapidly changing world where shrinking habitats continue to challenge their survival. This image is not about drama or action, but about emotion in its purest form — a fleeting reminder that the wild is held together as much by relationships as by survival.

Its golden coat, adorned with distinctive black rosettes, contrasts beautifully against the lush emerald foliage that surrounds it. Perched high above the forest floor, the leopard appears calm and confident, enjoying a moment of quiet repose in its natural habitat. Changeable Hawk with a Baby Crocodile kill. During my fifth safari in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve in December 2024, while searching for a tiger, I suddenly spotted a changeable hawk perched on a tree with a kill. At first glance, it appeared to be a lizard, but as I zoomed in for a closer look, I was completely stunned, it wasn’t a lizard at all, but a baby crocodile. It was a once in a lifetime capture for me.
It's not often you see two tigers playing in such light, proximity, and setting.

Jewel of the Monsoon When the rains arrive in Amboli, the Western Ghats come alive with sound and colour, and this glider is one of its most beautiful voices. I chose a wide-angle macro to keep the story honest — the frog is a jewel, but it means nothing without the wet, breathing forest that sustains it. Those crimson-webbed feet and the blue twilight bokeh behind them are pure monsoon Ghats. A fragile endemic, at home in a habitat we are steadily losing.
