Here are the pictures selected by the Jury for the Collection-32.
Shadow Among Branches Perched gracefully on the ancient limbs of a sprawling fig tree, a leopard pauses mid-descent, its golden eyes gleaming with quiet intensity. Its dappled coat merges seamlessly with the bark and foliage, a living testament to nature’s artistry in camouflage. In this fleeting moment of stillness before action, the forest itself seems to hold its breath, the hunter and its realm united in perfect harmony. This image embodies wild elegance, stealth, and the untamed spirit of the jungle.
About Photographer
As I was growing up somewhere along the the way my fondness for the wild and interest towards photography amalgamated, thus wildlife and nature photography became my Hobby and passion, and this thirst to capture the different species on this planet has enabled me to travel a very small bit of the world in search of the biodiverse wild, that includes the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and India, and I still have a long list to cover.
The Song of the Monsoon Perched delicately on a moss-draped tree, the tiny Amboli Bush Frog becomes a voice of the rainforest night. Its throat swells into a shimmering balloon of sound, each resonant call carrying through the dripping canopy — a love song woven into the heartbeat of the monsoon. This elusive species, found only in the Western Ghats of India, thrives in the dense shrouds of misty forests where rain is not just a season but a way of life. The Amboli Bush Frog is a creature of twilight, emerging after dark when the air is cool and damp, its chorus joining countless others in a symphony of amphibian voices. Its call is not just music — it is survival. The inflated vocal sac amplifies its song to attract mates and to stake territory amid the lush, crowded ecosystem. With every pulse of its translucent throat, the frog declares both its presence and its hope to continue its fragile lineage. Surrounded by moss, ferns, and dripping leaves, this tiny sentinel of the forest embodies the delicate balance of its habitat. Dependent on unspoiled streams and moisture-rich undergrowth, its very existence reflects the health of one of the world’s most biodiverse hotspots. This photograph captures more than a frog in mid-song — it reveals the spirit of the rainforest itself: vibrant, resilient, and alive with voices that rise with the rain.

Place of picture - Chandrapur, Maharashtra In the heart of the forest, survival depends on invisibility. This image captures the essence of nature’s design — a leopard blending seamlessly into the lush greenery, almost invisible to the naked eye. Wildlife habitats are not just landscapes; they are masterpieces of adaptation, where every leaf and shadow plays a role in protecting life. This moment is a reminder of how precious and fragile these ecosystems are, urging us to preserve them before they disappear into silence.

About Photographer
Coming from an orthodox Bengali family from Kolkata, India, I recognised my passion for photography much later after I hit my 30s. Prior to that I was only an IT employee working for various MNCs for more than 12 years. I discovered my fascination for photography, especially for bird shots when I visited a bird sanctuary with a photographer friend in 2018. I immediately decided that I would want to delve deeper into the world of birds and wildlife.
So I began working on my gear. Started from Canon Rebel-T5 with Tamron 150-600,
currently I possess Nikon Z6iii , Z5ii and 180-600 Nikon Lensfor my genre of photography.
With birding and wildlife comes a lot of traveling. So I started visiting remote Himalayan districts and forests in search of exotic birds and wild animals. Some days prove to be very fruitful and rewarding while some are not worth the time and energy invested. As it's the mantra of wildlife photography. No matter what, patience is the key till you find your lucky day.

“An Unspoken Truce” In the soft light of dawn, skimmers skim low over calm waters while mugger crocodiles lie motionless on a narrow sandbank. For a fleeting moment, predator and prey share the same fragile space, separated not by distance, but by restraint. The crocodiles wait, conserving energy, while the birds take advantage of this rare stillness to feed and move freely. What unfolds is not chaos, but balance — a quiet negotiation shaped by instinct, timing, and survival. This image captures that uneasy coexistence, where danger is present, yet action is withheld, reminding us that much of the wild is defined not by conflict, but by finely tuned tolerance. Russell's Viper Caught in the Net of Fate DOC- 01/10/2025 Place of picture - Guptipara , WB . This morning I suddenly learned that a snake had become trapped in a net at a nearby house. I rushed there immediately to save it, but I didn’t have enough courage to free it myself. So I contacted someone experienced in snake rescue. While waiting for him to arrive, I took a few photographs — and this image captures that intense moment. Through this picture, I want to highlight how vulnerable our nearby wildlife has become. Fortunately, the rescuer soon arrived, freed the snake safely, and released it back into the forest. This moment reminded me how important it is to protect every creature that shares this environment with us
