Here are the pictures selected by the Jury for the Collection-32.
A poignant visual narrative highlighting the precarious position of wildlife in shared landscapes. A magnificent male Blackbuck, a species legally protected in India, races across an open field while a human figure aggressively pursues it. The moment encapsulates the conflict between conservation laws and on-the-ground reality, where the freedom of the wild is perpetually under threat.

I am a painter specializing in surreal and abstract art, with my work exhibited internationally and honored with accolades like the International Brooklyn Award. This photograph was captured in March 2025 at the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. Every wildlife photographer dreams of a perfect head-on shot, but nature often has its own surprises. On this rare occasion, two very different species— a Sloth Bear and a Jungle Fowl—appeared together in the same frame, both offering a head-on view. Witnessing and capturing this unexpected interaction was an extraordinary moment, showcasing the unpredictable and magical side of the wild. This image reflects the beauty of patience, timing, and the wonders nature reveals when least expected.
About Photographer
I am a passionate wildlife photographer driven by a deep respect for nature and an endless curiosity for the wild. My journey began with capturing the unnoticed details of the natural world, and over time it grew into a commitment to document rare behaviors, raw emotions, and the untamed beauty of wildlife. From macro encounters with venomous snakes to powerful moments between territorial birds and elusive mammals, I strive to tell authentic stories through my images. Patience, perseverance, and a love for the outdoors guide every frame I create. Through my photography, I aim to inspire awareness, appreciation, and conservation of the incredible wildlife that shares our planet.
On a rainy monsoon night in Wayanad, while I was out hunting for a subject. I bumped into this charming little tree frog — Rhacophorus lateralis, a.k.a. the “leaf ninja.” The moment it sensed me, it froze mid-hop. That split-second pose made for quite the frame!
A leopard is an expert hunter but even the perfection has lot of failures hidden behind the success. This moment was from one such failed attempt. Or rather a clever survival tactics on display from the Sambar cub. The cub was chased by Leopardess from forest and the cub came running towards this waterhole and jumped into the water to survive the moment and was successful in that as well. This moment from Rajaji national park is one of the best wildlife moments of my life.

I photographed this Indian paradise flycatcher mid-bath while splashing vigorously in shallow water in Binka, Odisha, in April 2025. After waiting patiently through the summer morning for this exact moment, it finally happened – the flycatcher's graceful bathing ritual unfolding in perfect light, a rewarding end to hours of anticipation.

Unintended Predator In the dry grasslands near the desert edge, a feral dog carries a young spiny-tailed lizard in its jaws. This species—an endemic ground-dwelling lizard—has already seen its numbers fall due to habitat loss, illegal trade, and disturbance. But a quieter threat has emerged: free-ranging and abandoned dogs. With no natural role in this ecosystem, they hunt out of instinct and opportunity, adding pressure to native species already fighting to survive. Conservation is not only about protecting charismatic megafauna; it often begins with acknowledging the invisible casualties of human neglect.

This was the most beautiful thing I have witnessed. The day was about to end and we were stationed at the lake in a hope for a glimpse of the Royals near the lake as the movement was hinting that Riddhi or her cubs might approach the lake. Anticipations were high if any of the tiger will reach the banks of lake before we head out. Time was running out. Suddenly the male cub walked in and headed to the bushes and after a few minutes the female cub walked the same path and headed towards the bank of the lake. Male cub appeared from bushes and approached the female and suddenly they broke into this game of nudging each other. They both sat down looking at each other and our driver reminded us that it was time to head out. It was heartbreaking to leave them like this but there are rules to be followed and I was thankful that I got to see this brother sister duo together.
