Morning arrives softly in Dudhwa, as green leaves let in gentle light above. A deer stands quietly in the trees, its eyes bright and alert to every sound, calm and still.

Humans & Wild! During one of my safaris in Tadoba Tiger Reserve, I witnessed a moment that perfectly sums up the fragile balance between humans and the wild. A young sub-adult tigress waited patiently by the edge of a road — a civil road cutting right through the jungle — wanting to cross to the other side where her mother and sister were. After a long wait, she finally gathered courage and stepped onto the road. But as she saw people standing, vehicles moving, and even a bike approaching, she froze. Overwhelmed by our presence, she turned back into the forest. I managed to capture this moment — a glimpse of how close the human–wildlife conflict truly is. Roads through forests may connect places for us, but they fragment homes for them. Shot in Oct 2025 by Nikon Z8 180x600 at Tadoba Tiger reserve
This picture was taken in Aska, Odisha. Here, a Brahminy Kite is flying majestically, spreading its huge wings, after hunting a fish in the river current.

I took this picture in Bandipur during an early morning safari. A lone tusker stood near a waterhole with the mountains rising behind it, and the still water reflected both the elephant and the landscape. The soft morning light, the open forest, and the calm surroundings came together to show the beauty of Bandipur’s habitat. This frame captures the quiet strength of the tusker and the richness of the landscape that supports it.

In the quiet wilderness near Chamarajnagar, this master of disguise revealed itself for just a moment—blending so seamlessly into the green world around it that it felt like the leaves had come alive. The chameleon clung to its perch with effortless balance, its textured skin shifting shades to match the light. With one eye scanning its surroundings and the other fixed ahead, it embodied the perfect balance of patience and precision. As it opened its mouth slightly, it seemed to whisper the secrets of survival—adapt, observe, and blend in. A rare glimpse of nature’s most gifted camouflage artist.

Call of Beddome's Bush Frog: Shot in August 2025 in a quiet tea estate in Munnar, this Bedomme’s Bush Frog was found after a long search in the rain, its call echoing faintly through the shrubs. This tiny Western Ghats endemic is difficult to spot even when it’s close, and its colours come alive only under the right light. The frog was perched on a narrow stem, vocalising steadily despite the drizzle. Moments like this show how rich the biodiversity of Munnar is, especially during the monsoon when these frogs become active for just a short window.

Surgeon by profession, capturing nature through my lens; living life beyond the operating room…
In a rare, unguarded moment, when this endangered Asiatic Lioness paused, lifted her head, and looked toward something only she could sense. There was no roar, no drama, just a quiet intensity that felt deeper than anything else in the forest. This image captures that softness and strength together: the warmth of the evening light on her face, the calm in her eyes, and the wildness that sits just beneath the surface. Moments like these remind me that the most powerful stories in nature aren’t always loud, they’re often found in the stillness, when an animal simply exists and lets you share a small fragment of its world. Taken in Gir National Park, Gujarat.

I’m drawn to the stories that unfold in the silence of the jungle. Whether it’s a tiger hidden in tall grass, a leopard melting into rock, or a bird pausing mid-flight, I try to capture not just what I see, but how it feels to be there - to capture a story. My work is driven by curiosity, patience, and a love for the natural world, and every image I take is part of my journey to understand wildlife more deeply and share its wonder with others!
