Here are the pictures selected by the Jury for the Collection-32.
A child looks adorable, always. But a Bear cub? They are real joy to watch. They are sloppy, obedient, timid but adventurous. But whenever there's a slightest confusion - just climbs up the mom's back. This is just moment before the climb; an anxious face holding his safest ground strongly. About Photographer
A wildlife researcher turned naturalist, a keen wildlife observer and photographer since my high school days, I, Debarpan, call the forests of Central India my home & wetlands of Eastern India my backyard.
With a curious heart of a child, I've spent countless hours observing the stripes and colours in nature over a decade, and I still do. This passion for wildlife got ignited by the classic "Born Free"; since then I've never stopped chasing my dreams.
I work as a Wildlife Photography Mentor in different Photography Institutions in West Bengal and On Field Workshops also in association with Nikon India. Either with a camera creating stories in the forests, or sharing the stories with others subsequently, I believe in connecting with people at every opportunity in order to unveil the magic I find in the world of nature.
Peregrine Falcon, the fastest bird on this planet, capable of reaching speeds over 390 km/h in a dive, is the epitome of precision and power in the wild. I captured this extraordinary moment in the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve during a midday boat safari. Earlier, we had enjoyed incredible tiger sightings, but our guide and boatman remained alert, tracking every opportunity for unique wildlife moments. Suddenly, news came from another boat that a Peregrine Falcon had hunted a Spotted Dove and perched atop a tree to feed. We rushed to the spot and, with perfect positioning by our boatman, I readied my camera, knowing such a scene would unfold in mere seconds. The falcon took off with the lifeless dove clutched in its claws, flying across the open wilderness with unmatched speed and grace, every wingbeat and mid-air turn a testament to raw power and perfection. It finally landed on a distant tree, presenting a fleeting yet unforgettable frame that captured the essence of survival, speed, and the unrelenting wild, immortalizing a pure wildlife moment where nature’s fastest hunter showcases its extraordinary skill, reminding us why the wild is both fierce and mesmerizing.
About Photographer
I'm Tanmoy Das Karmakar from Kolkata, West Bengal. I've started my wildlife Photography from 2018. Later on I found my passion and interest in birds and wildlife photography, especially action moments. From the beginning I participated in many photography contests and exhibitions and regularly followed others photographers' work in Facebook and Instagram. Then I made a wildlife photography channel and contacted some of my photographer friends and went to various national parks, bird sanctuaries, and photography exhibitions with them. I visited many national parks and bird sanctuaries for photography. Gradually I became an expert in birds and wildlife photography and till now I'm learning photography from Google as well as many reputed photographers. I believe there is no end to learning. Till now I'm trying to improve my photography skills to better and continue pushing boundaries in the world of photography. I'm thankful to my parents for supporting me a lot in my wildlife journey.
A stunning male Montagu’s Harrier launches into flight from a vibrant bed of tiny purple flowers, its wings stretched high and plumage glowing in soft light. The sharp yellow eye, elegant grey markings, and powerful posture capture a perfect moment of grace in the wild.

About Photographer
A wildlife photographer dedicated to capturing authentic moments in nature. My work reflects a deep respect for wildlife, blending patience, precision, and storytelling to reveal the beauty and behaviour of animals in their natural habitats. I especially enjoy photographing animal behaviours in unique lighting, with a particular love for backlit frames and wide habitat shots that place wildlife in the context of their environment. Through my images, I aim to preserve the untamed spirit of the wild while inspiring others to appreciate and protect the natural world.
PURPLE IN ACTION: Observing the rare behaviour of an elusive bird is both inspiring and thrilling. This photo captures a unique sight: an ornamental banana flower pointing upwards, instead of its usual downward direction. I took this photograph at Pundibari Krishi Viswavidyalaya, an Agricultural University, where students are cultivating these special bananas. The female Purple Sunbird, unlike the vibrantly coloured male, has a more subdued appearance with olive-brown upper parts and yellowish under parts. This coloration provides effective camouflage, which is particularly important during nesting. Their behaviour is largely centred around their role in breeding and feeding, and they are known to be active and vocal birds. The female Purple Sunbird, like the male, primarily feeds on nectar from flowers, using her long, down-curved bill and brush-tipped tongue to extract it. She usually perches to feed rather than hovering. Due to their nectar-feeding habits, female Purple Sunbirds are important pollinators for a variety of plant species.

Death fight - Bharatpur. It was territorial fight. As I watched, one darter approached, gliding gracefully over the water towards the area where the second darter was trying to catch fish. Immediately, the second one reacted to challenge the attacking darter. In no time, they started fighting and jumped from water into air while trying to hurt each other.

Solitude At Jackals Cross in Keoladeo National Park, I wanted to capture not just a jackal, but its bond with the land named after it. In that calm morning light, its gaze reflected belonging the soul of a place and the spirit of the wild becoming one.

I’m Ayan Biswas from Helencha, West Bengal. For me, wildlife photography is more than just a passion. My deepest interest lies in observing animal behavior, emotions, and survival instincts in their natural environment. Through my lens, I try to give a voice to the voiceless, a call to protect what’s still wild and untouched.
In the sprawling grasslands, where the horizon blurs into a haze of heat and dust, the drama of nature is often played out in silence. The stage is a sea of swaying chloris and spear grass, a golden ocean that hides a thousand secrets. Here, the cycle of life is not a linear path but a constant, churning wheel. Nothing is wasted; everything is repurposed. Standing atop this relic is a creature of entirely different scale and energy: a Paddyfield Pipit (Anthus rufulus). This bird, often overlooked as a mere “Little Brown Job” by casual observers, is the protagonist of this tableau. It stands alert, its posture upright and confident, utilizing the skull not as a grave, but as a vantage point.

"I was lucky enough to capture this tiny Weaver Ant struggling to carry its heavy pupa up a diagonal stick. It was an intense macro moment, watching its incredible determination firsthand. The image, for me, represents the sheer will to survive and the amazing perseverance of life, even in the smallest of creatures. Location: Sarupathar, Assam. Date: November 5, 2025."
