After 8 long years of trying, I finally captured a photograph of the elusive Asian Paradise Fly Catcher on a leisure drive to Mysore. The anticipation had been building for weeks, and my heart raced as we entered the forested area where the bird was rumored to reside. I scanned the trees eagerly, my camera at the ready, hoping to catch a glimpse of its white long tail. There it was, perched majestically on a branch, its feathers shimmering in the sunlight ready to plunge into the small pond to cool off from the blistering heat I slowly raised my camera, trying to steady my hands as I focused on the bird. I held my breath as I snapped the shot, and when I checked the image, my heart swelled with joy. After all these years of trying, I had finally captured the perfect photo of the Asian Paradise Fly Catcher. Asian Paradise Fly catcher (male) Mysore Outskirts, Karnataka, India

Like all creatures of the animal world, female leopard is also very protective towards her offspring. After a long wait, when this female leopard was sighted, her two cubs were also with her. Because Mama leopard had seen us, she signaled the cubs to hide. One cub obeyed but the other cub could not stop his curiosity and started peeping at us, standing beside the mother. Only then the mother snapped at him and the cub disappeared... But before that I had taken a few shots.

In Corbett National Park, a river lapwing demonstrated remarkable instinct and bravery to protect her eggs from a hungry tiger. The incident occurred when the tiger was on the hunt and stumbled upon the lapwing's nest. Sensing the imminent danger, the lapwing started flapping her wings and making loud calls to distract the predator. The tiger, however, was undeterred and continued to approach the nest. But the lapwing did not give up and kept up her attempts to distract the tiger. She flew around the tiger's head and repeatedly struck him with her wings, making it difficult for him to focus on the nest. This continued for several minutes until the tiger gave up and retreated.
