Golden Hour Assembly As the sun descended toward the horizon, Pulicat Lake transformed into a glowing expanse of gold. From a low vantage point at water level, I photographed a flock of Greater Flamingos silhouetted against the warm evening sky. The shimmering reflections and soft bokeh created by sunlight dancing on the water add a dreamlike quality to the scene. Two flamingos standing prominently at the center naturally draw the viewer's eye, creating a sense of harmony within the larger congregation. This image captures a fleeting moment when light, landscape, and wildlife came together to reveal the elegance and grandeur of one of India's most iconic migratory bird species.

This is Sri Ganesh Bailupudi, a Chennai based wildlife photographer. A software engineer by profession and a photographer by passion. I am a native of Andhra Pradesh, but brought up in Chennai. Choosing wildlife over other genres of photography is because of the diversity and unpredictability, understanding nature and its emotions is beautiful. The exciting part is you have to be agile and prepared for surprises that the nature has for you.
The forests calm me more than anything else, spending time in the wild and experiencing moments through eyes, and if lucky enough, capture them through my lens.
In April 2026,In search of the ghost of Bhadra we had planned this trip since long and were analysing the cycle of sight and and to our good fortune the cycle of 12 days came true while we were in forest just at entrance this black beauty was sighted and while we were towards the end of the safari the guide and driver and all of us took a call in the evening we will visit the location where he was sighted and to our fortune one local informed us that about an1 hour back he went behind betel nut farm and we were patiently waiting suddenly peacocks started flying and there the black beauty showed us and our life was made for me it was after 5 years of tracking

**A rare FaceOff** A once in a lifetime moment and one that I never even imagined in dream to capture. National bird and National Animal together in single frame.. Was the peacock unaware of the tiger's presence? Was the tiger simply enjoying the nature's true dance show? Not sure. But this scene though it may look chaotic, but it had a different calmness to it. No attack from tiger, No alarm calls from Peacock. Simply 2 natural miracles sharing same space in the forest. I rediscovered my love for wildlife in January 2025, starting in the lush forests of South India and gradually exploring the landscapes of Central India and my home state of Uttarakhand. Whether it's the quiet intensity of a tiger in its natural habitat or the split-second flight of a bird, I aim to showcase the beauty, behavior, and stories of wildlife in their natural world.
A lot of wildlife action and drama happens right around us, even in the middle of a busy city. This photo was taken in Parimal Garden in Ahmedabad, where people often put grains for birds and small animals to eat. In this scene, a squirrel and a rose ringed parakeet are fighting for food. They come to feed at the same place, but it is not always peaceful, and in a split second it turns into a small fight to grab a better share. The expressions make the moment even more powerful, the parakeet’s pupil is dilated, showing fear and alertness, while the squirrel’s eyes are closed, its mouth open, and teeth out, showing anger and aggression. This shows that the struggle for food is common everywhere, happening in wildlife and also among humans, as such conflicts are a natural part of life. The moment lasted only for a second, but it was captured with the right timing to freeze the action, and the flying grains of rice add more life to the photo and make the story feel real.

New Life . . Controlled Burning of Elephant Grasses is done January onwards in Kaziranga National Park to prevent grassland from turning into woodland and manage succession. New Green healthier grass rise from the ashes just like phoenix.
RHYTHMIC ECHOS: This image captures newly hatched caterpillars only 1.5–2 mm long descending on invisible silk. To create this dramatic scene, I used in-camera multiple exposure contrasting their tiny forms against a "soulful" background. The left side features spectacular "crescent bokeh"—golden arcs of light filtering through the canopy. These shapes mimic the caterpillars' curved bodies acting like a visual heartbeat of the forest.
