Here are the pictures selected by the Jury for the Collection-33.
Dance of the Golden Hour: Poised at the threshold between water and sky, a Great Egret unfurls its wings against a wetland ablaze with the fire of the setting sun. In this fleeting moment — where liquid gold mirrors the heavens and every ripple become a jewel — the bird rises not merely in flight, but in celebration. The shimmering foreground speaks of life teeming beneath the surface, while the egret above reminds us that grace and wildness are not opposites, but one. This wetland, ordinary by day, transforms at dusk into a cathedral of light — and those who wait long enough are rewarded with its sermon. Location: Mangalajodi, Odisha, India
About Photographer
I’m a passionate wildlife and aviation photographer driven by a deep love for storytelling through visuals. My journey has taken me across India's diverse landscapes—from photographing Ghatiana crabs in the forests of Sirsi to documenting a rhinoceros marking its territory in the grasslands of Kaziranga. I strive to capture rare species, unique behaviors, and cultural rituals like Bhoota Kola with a blend of patience, curiosity, and technical skill.
Professionally, I work in IT at leading banking industry. Photography is more than a hobby—it's my way of connecting with nature and inspiring others, especially budding photographers, to observe the world more closely and respectfully.
Two massive male tigers fight for the most priced territory of Tadoba - Alizanza buffer. The fierce battle between Collarwala and Mowgli ended up with Mowgli giving up and leaving, with Collarwala claiming the area for now. However, after the fight we again spotted Mowgli a few kms ahead marking territory, signalling that he will not accept defeat so easily. There would be a possibility of another round of clash between these two giants in coming months. Interesting times lie ahead in Tadoba.

Dawn of the Silent Forest Captured in the mystical morning light of Kanha National Park, this photograph portrays a solitary deer standing quietly at the edge of a mist-covered meadow. As the rising sun breaks through the dense sal trees, golden rays pierce the fog, illuminating the forest with a dramatic glow. The silhouette of the deer against the warm light evokes a moment of stillness and harmony—an intimate glimpse into the awakening wilderness of central India.

This tigress, while grooming her three notorious cubs, lets her inner child take over: playful, carefree, and deeply loving. An Indian Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi) — white morph male — captured mid-flight with wings fully spread, displaying its magnificent long ribbon-like tail streamers. The bird's glossy black head with a striking blue eye-ring contrasts beautifully against its pure white plumage. The rocky backdrop and water surface below add depth and texture to the frame. I spent hours near a forest stream waiting for this bird to make its aerial sorties. Freezing this split-second moment required a fast shutter speed and precise timing, showcasing the ethereal grace of one of India's most beautiful birds.
