Picture Details

'Emerging from Silence' In the fading light, a golden jackal steps out of the shadows—half seen, half imagined. The darkness does not conceal, it reveals—drawing attention to the quiet intensity in the eyes, the alert stillness of a predator that thrives on subtlety rather than spectacle. This image explores the space between presence and absence, where form dissolves into shadow and the subject becomes an emotion rather than just an animal. It is a study of restraint—of light used sparingly to evoke mystery, tension, and quiet authority. - Jan 2026, Bharatpur

About Photographer
I am a wildlife & travel photographer whose work captures the rhythm of the natural world and the emotions hidden within it. With several photo exhibitions & photography awards my lens has explored landscapes across India, telling visual stories of wilderness, people, and places that stir the soul. Alongside photography, I am an avid writer, having contributed travelogues and narratives that reflect a deep connection with exploration and storytelling. When away from spreadsheets and strategy meetings, you can find me deep in the wild — patiently observing, waiting for the perfect moment to unfold through my viewfinder. For Gaurav, travel and photography are more than hobbies — they are a meditative experience, a way to connect deeply with the world and himself. Stripes of Survival: A Tiger’s World is his first book, an artistic and emotional tribute to the majestic tigers of the wild and the eternal spirit of survival they represent.
