As a bird photographer, fast and erratic moving birds always create a challenge. And capturing swallows in flight have always been tough. This is one picture which gives me immense satisfaction as i could get the swallow with it tail just coming out of the water with the droplets of water behind it. This picture was taken in Gurgaon, India with a very fast shutter speed.
This pic was clicked on 10 February' 2022 at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Bharatpur, Rajasthan on a foggy morning. My guide suggested me to walk to a place in Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary where there were chances to see Saurus Crane. In search of Saurus crane I strolled quite a long distance of about 1 km. But there were no sign of any Saurus Crane. Then I changed the direction of my walk on other trail. Just after few meters to my surprise suddenly I saw pack of Golden Jackals who were busy in pulling, chewing and eating from the carcass of some cattle. The pack gave me sufficient time to click the picks. This is one of those.
About Photographer
Not much to say about me as photographer. I started to learn birds & wildlife photography since 2019 only, after my retirement from GOI service. I do not know when it has become a passion for me. Now I want to showcase my work and get critical comments from learned photographers to further learn and improve upon my photography skill. I have taken it as very constructive post retirement time pass. Photography in forests, wetlands and lake etc works like a meditation for me when I forget about the world's stress and feel fresh, happy and filled with energy.

About Photographer
I am an avid photographer and an engineer by profession. I love wildlife photography.
The moment I entered the park I spotted this beautiful flock of Rosy or great white pelicans sitting on islands like angels in heaven ! On my approach they slightly got confused and started to stir. As well all know it is customary for the first pelican to take off and all the pelicans of that flock will take off after him. I intentionally chose the second pelican as I had this frame in mind to shoot a gliding pelican in between two splashes of water. One of my personal favourite frames inducing calmness, hope, soothing feeling in mind !It was also slightly difficult to shoot this action as it was very misty and very low light. Equipment Used : Sony a1 + FE400mm f2.8 GM OSS Exif: 1/2500, f2.8, ISO 400
