Love is in the wild. A habitat frame of Lion Tailed Macaque at Valparai. Endemic to the western ghats of South India, these species are unique and marked as endangered by the IUCN. IUCN has reported a mere population of 3000 - 3500 spread across Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

Shadows of the Winter On a cold winter morning at Ranthambhore, we were tracking this tigress, called Riddhi, on a safari gypsy. When we sighted her, we left positioned our jeep against the light, hoping for a backlit opportunity. And she did reward her with the exact frame we were hoping to get, making it a memorable morning. Photographed at Ranthambhore national park, November 2021.
The picture was shot at Purbasthali, West bengal from a boat. I was completely amazed to see an unusual behaviour by Golden jackal. The Jackal was constantly bullying the other, perhaps it was an attempt to persuade the female jackal for mating.

'Pink in a Sea of Grey' An adult lesser flamingo walks among many juveniles. Flamingos get their characteristic colour as they grow from the algae they eat. Taken in the heart of the city, I wanted to convey a sense of depth and show the scale of the migration. The shadowed foliage in the back makes for the perfect backdrop to enunciate the vibrant colours that these birds have. The composition was pre-visualized and I just had to lay waiting for the perfect opportunity.
