Winter photography is something different. With tiger sightings generally low, the forest is usually slow to wake up from its slumber. The flurry of activity we see of any denizens in summer is considerably low compared to winter. But if and when your luck shines, you get those few opportunities where the magic of winter light comes alive. This is one of those moments where, while tracking pugmarks of tigers, we stumbled upon a solo Chittal stag on the side of the main road in Kishanpur, which is not only the widest road in this forest but also allows common traffic. Luckily, the stag moved to the middle of the road and gave us a head turn in those few moments without any traffic.

Seen here is the image of a Indian Striped Hyena moving amidst the thick grasslands of Bhigwan hiding herself while carrying her cub to safety. Be it Human or Mammals the definition of mother will always be resilience, unconditional love , the purest form of love sacrifice. The weight she carries on her shoulders to ensure that the next generation is nurtured and nourished to stand strong on its own must be the reason behind her undeniably strong stature.

This is a moulting scene of bush cricket. I found this near a paddy field. Moulting is an essential activity in insect. All invertebrates, amphibians, arachnids and other animals do moult or shed that is casts off their exoskeleton of its body, either at specific times of the year or at specific points in its life cycle. Moulting or shedding is the replacement of skin or feather. For young grasshoppers to continue their growth, development and reach the adult stage, they must periodically moult or shed their outer skin. Depending on species and sex, they moult four to six times during their nymphal or immature life. The young grasshopper sheds the outer skin, the hard exoskeleton and the nymph starts feeding and growing. After moulting five times it becomes an adult and gains fully functional wings. I have seen many numbers of moulting of different bugs, beetles, and insects. This is the unique behavior of animals.

Presenting Albino Irrawaddy Dolphin The Irrawaddy dolphin (Orcaella brevirostris) is a euryhaline species of oceanic dolphin found in scattered subpopulations near sea coasts and in estuaries and rivers in parts of the Bay of Bengal and Southeast Asia. The Irrawaddy dolphin's colour is grey to dark slate blue, paler underneath, without a distinctive pattern. The dorsal fin is small and rounded behind the middle of the back. The forehead is high and rounded; the beak is lacking. The front of its snout is blunt. The flippers are broad and rounded. Irrawaddy dolphins are more susceptible to human conflict than most other dolphins that live farther out in the ocean. Drowning in gillnets is the main threat to them throughout their range. Also in Asia they are increasingly threatened by tourist activity, such as large numbers of boats circulating the areas in which they live. The development of tours and boats has put a large strain on the dolphins. As per my study if we couldn't do proper conservation may this beauty will be lost from nature by coming 10-15 years. I was very lucky enough to get this rarest Albino Irrawaddy Dolphin in the Sundarban.
