Caption - Cut to the chase. Place - Jim Corbett national park, India When the safari car stopped almost a mile off the tiny stream, initially we could not see anything but a mixed herd of sambar and spotted deers standing in alert mode. After a while the living terror caught our eyes. A Bengal tiger watching them in stealth mode. Within a few seconds it jumped on them. The entire herd tried to run away while the weaker one lagged behind being in close proximity of the tiger and making it easier for the tiger to grab a quick lunch.

About Photographer
As I was growing up somewhere along the the way my fondness for the wild and interest towards photography amalgamated, thus wildlife and nature photography became my Hobby and passion, and this thirst to capture the different species on this planet has enabled me to travel a very small bit of the world in search of the biodiverse wild, that includes the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and India, and I still have a long list to cover.
While exploring the Pipartola grasslands in Panna, we were targeting to see its current queen, P 141, who is bringing up a litter of four cubs. This necessitates her to hunt every day, to keep all their tummies full. Early in the morning, we had missed her movement as we were seconds late before she vanished into the grasslands. But our guide Mahesh Ji, and our driver Narendra had sharp instincts to predict her movement. They said she has to go back to her cubs, and its a high chance she will be back in the grasslands to hunt. After going round and round for over three hours, finally, our patience paid out when P141 did exactly the same things as was predicted. Commemorating my first instance of seeing a tiger with a live kill, here is P141 moving towards her cubs with a fawn in her jaws!

Two terms are trying to snatch a fish from each other’s mouths while flying, and their white body makes them stand out against the green background. The picture was taken at Mangalajodi, Odisha. The day was very boring, because I was wandering around waiting for the Peregrine Falcon. But I couldn’t find it. Suddenly I saw a fishing boat going in the distance and many terns were flying behind it to catch fish, so I went there. Then I got this picture while taking pictures of them fishing.

Booted eagle hunting pigeon Place of picture - Nrisinghapur Doc - 11/04/2024 I was wandering through the farmlands in search of birds, but after a long time with no luck, I was starting to feel disappointed. Suddenly, I spotted an eagle flying away with its prey. Curious, I watched as it landed far in the distance. Determined, I walked nearly a kilometer to get closer. When I finally reached the spot, I saw that it was a Booted Eagle feasting on a pigeon. After all the effort, I finally managed to capture this shot.
