A bronzed-winged jacana father gracefully strides across wetland, showcasing his remarkable parenting. Two tiny chicks are nestled snugly among his back feathers, their heads just visible as they peek out from behind his wings. Meanwhile, a third chick toddles beside him, its oversized feet tiptoeing across the water plants, closely following its devoted father. A beautiful glimpse into the jacana’s rare role reversal, where the male takes full charge of parenting. This picture was captured in Purbasthali, West Bengal on August, 2024.

Nothing before the Himalayas. A Himalayan Griffon Vulture gliding effortlessly over the vast Himalayan basin. Soaring from the rocky heights it calls home, over green meadows and toward a distant water stream below. I tried a minimalistic approach to capture not just the bird, but the vertical span of its world, from perch to prey, from silence to sustenance. (Humble request to the viewers, kindly view this image on a larger screen.) Ganderbal, Kashmir.

Flight of Glory is how I would describe this image. Taken this year during Spring in the valley of Bhaderwah in Kashmir , this beautiful Himalayan beauty Yellow Billed Blue Magpie was gliding around in the wee hours of the morning in a lush green private field with little yellow flowers here and there....I was at eye level and wanted to get that perfect angle where I can capture its beautiful blue and black feathers and tail. But after a couple of attempts I realised I need to position my self a little higher than this beauty to be able to get the full wingspan. So I hiked up to the edge of the road coming as close as possible and overlooking the field where finally I got the perfect angle of its flight when it took off from the branch and glided all around very close to the grasses giving me the shot i was waiting for.

CATERPILLAR IN CHAOTIC LIGHT: This is a very busy frame of chaotic lights with a caterpillar. This is very rare Red slug moth caterpillar resting on weeds. But the mystery is back light movement. I always try to create eye catchy, colourful and attractive images to impress people towards Mother Nature. The moving motion in the background is due to the speedy movement of tiny paddy flies. I frequently used to go in village to get fresh air after my school. In urban life there is lack of greens and full of air pollution. One day I was seating near a paddy field and observed some tiny flies movement over the ripen paddy plant. This shot was taken near a ripen golden paddy field. After 3 pm when the sun started setting down slowly, I observed these very small sized flies flying chaotically just over the ripen paddy plants. These flies can be found when paddies become ripen. But these flies can only be seen when you are facing Sun (in front of you) and light falls on the flies. I planned a dramatic and eye-catchy image. I have used in-camera multiple exposure technique to achieve this eye-catchy image. I have taken the first shot of small caterpillar in anti-light with Tamron 90 mm VC USD and then changed the lens 200-500mm to get the images of flying flies some in high and some in slow shutter speed.
