I am head over heels in love with the jungles of India and totally mesmerized by how each jungle has a offering of its own. From the breathtaking meadows engulfed amidst the evergreen Sal trees of Kanha to the Dry Deciduous Dhonk trees of Ranthambhore, the shear excitement of capturing the Fauna in these amazing backdrops is something that attracts me to visit these place every time I get an opportunity.

A WINGED DISPLAY. The photograph was taken in Rashin, Bhigwan, Maharashtra, India, in August 2024. Yellow-Wattled Lapwings are commonly found in open grasslands and agricultural areas. They are known for their distinctive yellow wattle, which is a fleshy growth on the bird's throat. The wattle is used to attract mates and showcasing power superiority. This image captures the beauty of a Yellow-Wattled Lapwing in its natural habitat. The bird is perched on a grassy field, with its wings outstretched and its head tilted upwards. This behavior is often observed as a way to warm up or prepare for flight. I leaned down to the ground with my camera to capture a close-up of the wattle, but this bird decided to pose for me, resulting in this incredible image.
