This was during my first visit to Nagarhole Tiger Reserve in Kabini in Nov 2023 after nearly 10 years. On one of our safaries we came across this huge tusker for which kabini is famous for . This big male was right on the road side , so we decided to stop . it got agitated for some time , but later went on to pull the branches of the tree and feeding on it . it also came in front of our gypsy to give us some awesome shots .This one with hugh tusk pulling the branches with ease due to its enormous power was sight to behold.

.... Well, is Durga puja celebrated in the Sundarbans? ....yes it is. It takes place in the village, but the biggest puja is in the forest. ... durga puja in the forest??? ... No Durga Puja fair is sitting in the forest, tigers come out to see the fair during Puja. Talking with a photographer friend on the day of Chaturthi was funny. Along with the clock was counting Shasthi, Mother's "Bodhan" and the beginning of my Sundarbans "Sharadia". When I left Kolkata on the panchami, I kept saying to myself to the beat of the curtain - Mother and cubs - Mother and cubs. But Mother Durga knows what will happen. Maha Shasthi:- Woke up at quarter to four in the morning to the Roar of the tiger, although the Roar was in a dream, the time on the mobile was showing 3.45am. Even though I woke up so early, the sleep in my eyes has disappeared somewhere. 4.30am boat starts moving, somewhere in the distance the song "Bajlo Tomar Alo Benu" is playing on the microphone. As the light northern wind is blowing me and my guide Golok started our as usual funny jokes. Today Golok will see the kata male, he started the puja with him last year. However, I will visit Phuleshwari area while going. Phuleswari is a very weak spot for me. Agreed... As we entered the forest, we were welcomed by the osprey. We looked pretty like ospreys in the morning sun. I left the area of Phuleswari and reached the area of Kata Male. As I entered the small creek, I saw fresh footprints. Immediately the boat was rotated, It seems that our target will be met today... Next canal... the tiger is gone, left behind us... Mahadev da go to the next channel... Tiger Tiger... Tiger is coming down... Tanmoy Da, Prosenjit take pictures... frame on the grass, golden light. After crossing one by one canal, we are waiting at the last crossing point. By now, all the boats have arrived, everyone is waiting. In the afternoon, the tiger doesn't come out anymore... Golak: Dada, let's look along the bank, the tide has fallen, the inside can be seen, if he is lying in the forest. As the boat turned its head and came close to the shore, I saw two tigers lying inside. Oh! its Tigress Boro Maa and her cubs... There is another child on that side... did you see dada... Golok whispered That's going up... Go to the next channel... Go away Mahadev da... Three will come down together... They are coming down. The shutter started... children's games followed... Perhaps this is the first documentation of such an adorable moment of two tiger cubs in the Indian Sundarbans... The feeling of this wonderful moment in front of the eyes is...BODHON mother's bodhon, "Jai Maa Durga" was uttered in mind.
