The Water Drop Bush Frog a.k.a Raorchestes nerostagona, an endemic, endangered species of Western Ghats The calls made by these dwellers of the tree canopy is like a loud, echoing rain-drop falling into a bucket of water, repeating about every 3 to 4 seconds. Also known as ..The Kalpetta Yellow Bush Frog or lichen bush frog, it has an interesting body pattern which seems like lichen growing on it. These are one of the most difficult to spot species bcoz of their pattern and also because they live on high canopies.

Chinkara Mating Shot near Bhigwan - Nov 2023 The grasslands surrounding Bhigwan are mostly private and face an ongoing threat as predominantly private lands are increasingly repurposed for commercial use. Within these private patches, the enchanting Chinkaras flourish. This species, known for its extreme shyness, graces these landscapes. On a fortuitous day during our drive through the grasslands, I was fortunate to witness the elusive Chinkaras engaging in mating behaviour. Swiftly capturing the moment with my camera, I managed to immortalise this fleeting encounter before they vanished from sight.
