Safe Haven In the wilderness, survival begins with the bond between a mother and her young. Nestled close to its mother, this tiger cub finds reassurance in her presence as she remains alert to the world around them. Beyond their species, this scene reflects a universal truth shared across life itself—the comfort of family, the strength of protection, and the sense of security that comes from knowing you are not alone.
Splash of gold Deep within the lush, emerald landscapes of Hebri, just a stone's throw from the dense rainforests of Agumbe, the jungle offers fleeting moments of explosive energy. This frame captures that exact split-second—a vibrant burst of Flame throated Bulbul from a quick dip, trailing a chaotic constellation of suspended water droplets against the creamy, smooth bokeh of the Western Ghats. Capturing high-speed birds in flight, especially during the erratic action of a bath-and-dash, requires far more than just a fast camera; it demands absolute, unwavering presence. It’s about the silent hours spent patiently waiting in the hide, deeply studying avian behavior to anticipate the precise millisecond the subject will launch into the air.

The squirrel appears to be cautiously approaching the owl, perhaps driven by curiosity, territorial boldness, or the instinct to mob a potential predator. Squirrels are known for harassing owls and other raptors to drive them away from their territory. The owl, meanwhile, seems utterly composed, eyes half-closed, conserving energy and displaying the calm patience for which barn owls are famous.

Where the tiger reigns We followed the distant roars of a tiger from atop a cliff, his calls echoing through the valley below. A peacock's sudden flight and alarm call soon confirmed his presence. An architect by profession who finds herself in the wilderness for nearly half the year. Being an animal lover, going into the jungle and experiencing wildlife (whether big or small) is what drives me. It is the experience of being amidst nature that comes first, being able to capture the magic with my lens is a close second.
It was a dull day with menacing dark clouds approaching towards Rajaji National park. Within a hour, hell broke loose in the jungle with thunder and torrential rain. I had given up my hopes to spot any animal. Due to rain the Sal trees were shedding their leaves and the visibility was poor, except my camera gear , everything around me was drenched. the only hope I had was to spot a leopard in this environment and try take a picture in poor light. I was lucky this day as "Rani" a leopardess was sitting under a Sal tree also soaked in rain like me. I spent a few minutes with and made this special moment a memorable one. Photo taken April 2026

Captured in June 2025 at Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, this photograph shows the mighty Bajrang moments after a successful hunt. Hidden within the forest, he paused briefly, his blood-stained whiskers and piercing gaze revealing the raw reality of life in the wild. It was an unforgettable encounter that perfectly captured both the power and the beauty of this apex predator.

I just got into wildlife photography 2 years back and love what India has to offer. Getting into wildlife was somethings which was never in my wildest dreams but somehow now I cant think of anything else but to plan for the next trip into the jungle. I've always wanted to travel to new places and explore more parts of the world, which I continue to do through visiting new parks whenever possible.
