This moment was captured at Keoladeo national park, Bharatpur. In a winter morning as soon as a darter caught a fish , a cormorant came to fight and wanted to snatch the fish. The darter firmly grabbed it , the blood was coming out from the fish mouth. I was ready to capture that moment.

The Hunt As the call of a fresh hunt echoed through the jungle, we raced to the scene. A hunt had just taken place, the dominant male of the Jhalana forest, was the predator. We raced through the underbrush, our hearts pounding with anticipation. In the thick of the underbrush, we spotted him, the dominant male leopard, dragging over his kill—a Nilgai fawn, its life abruptly taken, lay limp in his jaws, a testament to the ruthless cycle of the wild. His eyes glinted with fierce intensity as he dragged the lifeless fawn from the bushes. With swift, powerful strides, he disappeared into the dense forest, seeking a secure spot to savor his prize. The jungle fell silent in his wake, a testament to His unmatched prowess and command over his domain.

The Galaxy frog is a member of the Microhylidae frog family, and the Microhylidae family diverged from other frog families about 66 million years ago. The Galaxy frog is listed as globally endangered by the IUCN Red List. This rare frog is endemic to the southern Western Ghats of India. This species is associated with leaf litter, rocks, and other ground cover of moist evergreen tropical forests. Melanobatrachus indicus is a rare species that was only rediscovered in 1997. FIRE'S FEAST The photograph was taken in Hooghly, West Bengal ,INDIA in November 2024. A Black Drongo takes advantage of the chaos caused by stubble burning in the paddy fields. As farmers set fire to the leftover rice stubble after harvesting, a frenzy of insects is stirred up, providing a feast for opportunistic birds like this Black Drongo. The bird glides effortlessly through the smoke and flames, its keen eyes searching for unsuspecting prey. This behavior, while providing a momentary advantage for the bird, highlights the detrimental environmental impact of stubble burning. The practice of burning crop residue destroys vital habitats for many species, including small mammals, insects, and birds. This can lead to a decline in populations and even local extinctions.
