A leopard cat in the Indian Sundarbans enjoys the soft winter light on a mudflat. One of the lesser-known denizens of the mangroves, their sighting is considered rarer than that of the tiger on the landscape. As per reports, they are mainly confined to the mangroves of uninhabited islands, taking shelter in the hollows of trees. However, it frequently visits villages in search of poultry and often spends the day in bushes or on trees.
