I captured this image from Purbasthali this winter. It was a cloudy morning and totally heazy weather. I waited in a particular spot for Osprey. But fortunately I noticed a Western marsh harrier was flying towards us. Suddenly the Marsh harrier drived into the jungle. I was looking towards that Marsh harrier with my binocular. Then I discovered that the Marsh harrier caught a Painted snipe and was pulling its feathers. I went slowly towards Marsh harrier and suddenly it flew away with dead Painted sniped gripped by its claw.

This image of Peregrine Falcon was captured at Little Rann of Kutch, Gujarat on 12- Jan - 2024. The Peregrine Falcon, the fastest killer is the most photographed bird or we can even say a star of LRK. I have photographed this beauty many times before but to photograph it with the red and yellow globe behind it was my much awaited moment. A beautiful falcon, a remarkable landscape and an amazing sunset was a perfect way to end the day's safari.

I have done my schooling from Don Bosco, Siliguri and my graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkatta. To me photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything. To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. To me photography is a combination of light, gears, patience, practice, passion and love for nature. To me photography is way of life.

Every year thousands of photographers eagerly wait for the snow to fall in Chopta, Uttarakhand to capture the majestic Himalayan Monal in its iconic snowy habitat. Similarly, we arrived at the location at 5am and I waited patiently for 2 hours to capture this shot. Whilst waiting my right hand froze and sure enough when the time came to click the shutter my index finger did not move, like the rain my finger was frozen. Quickly, I used my left thumb to press down on the shutter, with the camera resting on my knees, somehow by the grace of God, I was able to capture the Hidden Gem of the Himalayas, the Himalayan Monal, in its full beauty with its iconic snowy background.

Beat the Heat Summers can be tough for tigers. The scorching heat can make them lethargic. As water becomes scarce in the dry season, tigers are more likely to come out in the open to find watering holes. This makes them more vulnerable to predators, but it also makes them easier to see for tourists and researchers.
