Here are the pictures selected by the Jury for the Collection-25.
I captured this image from Purbasthali, West Bengal. I visited there for birding. In the afternoon I noticed a White breasted kingfisher was on bamboo. I'd waited there a couple of times for some activity. Suddenly that Kingfisher flew away towards the nearby bamboo forest. I lost my hope. After some time the Kingfisher came there and caught a big size Oriental garden lizard. At the moment of sitting on the perch the lizard slipped in water from the kingfisher's beak. The kingfisher tried to catch the lizard again. But the lizard was big in size. At the moment the kingfisher caught the lizard then it was struggling to escape and it was pressing down the kingfisher's beak with its back two legs. After some struggle the kingfisher failed to kill the lizard and released it. It took 2 seconds only for the action to happen.
About Photographer
I'm Tanmoy Das Karmakar from Kolkata, West Bengal. I've started my wildlife Photography from 2018. Later on I found my passion and interest in birds and wildlife photography, especially action moments. From the beginning I participated in many photography contests and exhibitions and regularly followed others photographers' work in Facebook and Instagram. Then I made a wildlife photography channel and contacted some of my photographer friends and went to various national parks, bird sanctuaries, and photography exhibitions with them. I visited many national parks and bird sanctuaries for photography. Gradually I became an expert in birds and wildlife photography and till now I'm learning photography from Google as well as many reputed photographers. I believe there is no end to learning. Till now I'm trying to improve my photography skills to better and continue pushing boundaries in the world of photography. I'm thankful to my parents for supporting me a lot in my wildlife journey.

Title: "Harmony in Nature's Symphony" Description: In the enchanting landscapes of Goalpara, Assam, where nature unfolds its myriad wonders, I found myself immersed in a moment of pure magic. Within the hollow confines of a dry bamboo stick, a secret world unveiled itself—a captivating scene that encapsulated the delicate dance of life and beauty. Gently, I approached the bamboo stick, drawn by a mysterious energy emanating from within. As I peered, my eyes widened in awe. There, nestled within the narrow confines, I discovered a pair of Nomia sp. bees, adorned in striking hues of dark brown and black, accentuated by vibrant golden bands that adorned their sleek bodies. Nomia bees, native to this diverse region, stand as remarkable representatives of nature's ingenuity. These tiny creatures, belonging to the family of sweat bees, play an indispensable role as diligent pollinators. Unlike their honey-producing counterparts, Nomia bees dedicate their existence to nurturing the intricate balance of the natural world. In this captured moment, the remarkable sight of two Nomia bees facing one another within the confinements of the bamboo stick invoked a sense of harmony—a testament to the interdependence that governs our natural world. It was a delicate encounter, a shared connection that transcended boundaries and showcased the essence of unity. Through this photograph, I invite you to witness the intricate beauty of nature's interwoven threads. It serves as a reminder that every creature, no matter how small, plays an extraordinary part in the grand symphony of life. Let us embrace and cherish these unsung heroes of the wild, safeguarding their habitats so that they may continue their invaluable work, weaving their delicate magic in the tapestry of our shared existence.

A moment when everything I wanted, actually came together! We had been exploring the beautiful Terai region of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve in thick fog come early morning when I had started visualising the perfect photo that I could have clicked in this landscape. As the jungle awakened with the sun rays lightly piercing through the fog and then through the tall Sal trees, I imagined what it would be to find a tiger in the middle of the road with all the elements coming together: the fog, the filtered sunlight, the golden hour, the famed “pakki sadak (tar road)” and the most royal subject of course: the Bengal Tiger. And luck. Within few minutes of the Safari, we bumped into this beautiful sub-adult male in the middle of the road, who gave us a grumpy look the moment our gypsy stopped near him. I imagine what he must be thinking "Woke me up from my sleep, you bloody tourists".

Territorial Fight among Rhinoceroses in Kaziranga National Park: Territorial fights among rhinoceroses are intense and crucial for establishing dominance and securing mating rights. These clashes often involve aggressive displays of power, such as horn clashes, vocalizations, and mock charges. Dominant males fiercely defend their territories from intruders, using their massive size and formidable horns to intimidate rivals. These confrontations can result in injuries or even death, highlighting the high stakes involved in these territorial disputes. The outcome of these battles not only determines access to resources but also plays a significant role in shaping the social hierarchy within rhinoceros populations.
