It was my 2nd tour of November 2022. Me and 7 other members started our 4day Expedition of Sundarban. Sundarban is one of the toughest place to see the tiger. That's why swamp tiger is a Jem of wildlife photography. It's phenomenon spread through out the world. By the blessings of mother nature I am quite fortunate of Swamp tiger but others 7 members were not. I promised them that we will see the tiger. But three days we couldn't find the Mangrove phantom. We got almost every raptor, Kingfisher but not tiger. Last day of our expedition we started our Safari with full Josh. As per 3 days tracking I was quite sure that there was a chance of tigress BORO MAA/ Bari Maa. We were in hurry to go to possible spot. But suddenly we saw a Brown winged Kingfisher in a beautiful light on fantastic perch. On the request of my co photographers we spend all most 15-20 minutes there. But I was so anxious that this 20mins may cause us more. Finally when we reached the possible area we saw a fresh pug marks. The Queen on move as we . The Tigress alredy crossed 4 creeks. So we waited at the 5th creek of that island. We hold our breath and she appeared. Ohh! What beauty..She crossed the creeks which is full of shallow water and give a look to us...In mind We all said " All hell the Queen"

Rakshanda Rashid

Kolkata (West Bengal)

About Photographer
My name is Rakshanda Rashid. A wildlife enthusiast, who had so far compromised her passion to fit into the standards of living set by society. From being a Biotechnology student in high school to changing to a Business Management student, my passion for wildlife never left me. Where the rest of the world found pleasure in parties and hangouts, I found my peace amidst the wildlife and nature. Being a girl from a family with traditional and conservative values, I was somewhere losing track of my purpose of living. My dream of becoming a Wildlife Researcher and Conservationist seemed to have been left far behind. While pursuing my MBA, I decided to do an online crash course on Photography, during which, I discovered my talent for capturing moments ... Wildlife Moments. I then decided to follow my passion for wildlife with a little feat of technology, doing Wildlife Photography.

SUDIP ROY

Kolkata (West Bengal)

About Photographer
Coming from an orthodox Bengali family from Kolkata, India, I recognised my passion for photography much later after I hit my 30s. Prior to that I was only an IT employee working for various MNCs for more than 12 years. I discovered my fascination for photography, especially for bird shots when I visited a bird sanctuary with a photographer friend in 2018. I immediately decided that I would want to delve deeper into the world of birds and wildlife. So I began working on my gear. Started from Canon Rebel-T5 with Tamron 150-600, currently I possess Nikon D500 and Nikkor 200-500 for my genre of photography. With birding and wildlife comes a lot of traveling. So I started visiting remote Himalayan districts and forests in search of exotic birds and wild animals. Some days prove to be very fruitful and rewarding while some are not worth the time and energy invested. As it's the mantra of wildlife photography. No matter what, patience is the key till you find your lucky day.
