Short-eared Owl and bluebull skull An Owl and a skull go together. One must briefly set aside Greek mythology and its well known symbolism of an owl for wisdom; other cultures linked the owl with death.
Power of Mafia ! Brahminy Kites are often seen snatching food from others in Mangalajadi. Similarly, the purple heron catches a big fish. And right next to it, the Gray Heron grabbed a snake, and suddenly the Brahminy Kite came and attacked the Gray Heron once and the Purple Heron once. I focused the Brahminy Kite and started photographing their fight from the boat.

Whiskered Tern. I realised through this picture that, success is not the absence of failure. It is the persistence through failure. After multiple tries, I was able to track the hovering whiskered tern and click when it dived to successfully pick up the fish. Shot in Mangalajodi, Orissa, India. Feb 2023.

This was my first visit to Jim Corbett National park in March 2020.We took four safaris but had no luck in 3 safari in sighting of the tiger .On the day of our last safari we got the news that this is the last safari as park will be closed due the corona virus pandemic .We were all confused what the news was . anyway we took the safari with all the expectation to see the tiger on the last safari . As we reached the ramganga river , the guide spotted this beautiful tigress named Paarwali across the river . we all got very excited and to our surprise she slowly swam across the river and just came out out right in front of our gypsy . Tigers are born swimmers but to see one swimming was a sight to behold and a memory of life time .
