"Cormorants community" In visual culture, cormorants live in the community. And in recent history, it has been believed as a lucky charm for the fisherman community. This image is highly in technical language but it goes along with the meaning it carries with it. When life sheds all the colors only thing which is left is black and white. Black carries all the colors and white which carries all the spectrum of light. All I have to say is beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, and I managed to create what lies in front of you. Monochrome is not the absence of color it's the presence. Or preference lies in the absence. Whatever you prefer as a viewer/reader

Ex- CEO of Finolex Pipes, now an ardent wildlife photographer and traveler. Wildlife/bird photography which started as a hobby just four years ago has now become a passion and consumes a significant amount of my free time.
This picture was taken by me at Spiti Valley in March 2022. While sitting out their one chilling evening to photograph the mammals across the valley, I came across a group of Ibex’s moving upwards to this mountain and eventually they did reach on top of it with this one way ahead of the pack. I felt this sense of achievement & feeling of accomplishment at that moment after seeing this Himalayan Ibex at the tip of the mountain looking down at the valley standing tall over the baby-faced mountain, overlooking the valley & the sun-kissed snowy mountain on the other side. It felt as if it was me walking up those treacherous mountains in such cold climates with temperatures in the negatives and then having reached atop the mountain to feel ‘Top of the World’.
About Photographer
Hi there, I’m Manmeet.
An award-winning photographer from Mumbai. I have always had the fascination for birds and animals in the wild and visiting the forests or the parks always amused me. However, it was only until few years back when I had my first interaction with one of the big cats in the jungles of India and at that very moment, I knew that this was my destination.
Over the last couple of years, I’ve tried to showcase the biodiversity of these jungles through my lens and have also worked towards introducing people to the wild, helping them learn and understand these forests that cover 19.5% of the total geographical area of the country.
Today, I not only work towards exploring more species, but am also actively involved in learning more about the environment, vast flora, fauna and its conservation. Apart from driving wildlife tourism, I am also working on lines of conservation of the ecosystem thereby fostering sustainability and empowerment.

GOTCHHAAA...!!! How do you feel if you get spotted before you spot..!!! Yes, that's what happened when I took this pic. It was early morning and I was driving through Bhowali Range. After crossing Kainchi Dham, I caught sight of something big sitting in the middle of shallow water of river. I parked my car and before I could spot this wonderful looking full size Brown Fish Owl in my camera it had already spotted me. Even though I was at a far distance it didn't like my presence and flown away and I lost it in the woods. A true Ghost Of The Jungle.
