It's really a wonder, how mother nature always surprises one. I was walking along the seaside bridge in Henry Island, Bakkhali, West Bengal when suddenly I heard some noises in the bush far. It was getting dark, and suddenly from the bush came this guy. This golden jackal came in attitude and sat in front of me in the jungle opening. Many people passed by it without stopping thinking that the bush had a dog or local workers behind it but to my surprise, it was my first ever Golden Jackal.

Like any other web, this is home as well as trap to spiders. This image is one of such web woven around a burrow by a Funnel Web Wolf Spider.
