Peacock and the Sunset: Flying Higher than the Sun! (Bandipura Tiger Reserve- February 2022) I saw this peacock on the top of this tree at around 5.15pm. I decided to wait praying the Peacock to take a flight and cross the branch. Waiting for this was tiring and it took 45 minutes for this peacock to do so and voila, it was a perfect moment as the Sun started to set on the branches of the Tree. In the wild, moments are made with patience and planning and I learn it dearly that day.

This image was taken in Jhalana. On day 2nd, when I entered the jungle, I felt an unusual silence. Just after 10 minutes, we saw Rana and Flora (The name of these leopards) crossing the road. Rana is a bold male leopard, and Flora is female. They started making love and mating in front of 10-12 gypsies, and while they were crossing the road which was really closer to our gypsy around 8-10 feet.

'The Yawn!' Leopard, the ghost of the jungle, at Jhalana Leopard Safari Park, Jaipur. India. Leopards are usually very shy and quick to disappear. However, this guy was feeling a bit sleepy in the morning and that gave me enough time to click his yawn. Image shot in March 2022. Gear: Canon EOS R6 camera with RF 100-500 L lens.

Tigers often go on a patrol of their territory. on this routine, they mainly mark their territory by rubbing themselves, scratching and urinating. They also stop and sniff every now and than. This behavior helps to find whether or not there is any female who is heat or is there any other intruding male etc. in this image, i was lucky to see and photograph the mighty male sniffing a tree.

I saw this beautiful Flamingo with a frame full of building construction. It gave me a feel like how we are taking all the natural resources and utilising all for ourselves. We are the most selfish beings in this world.

The desire to to get a decent closeup of one of the most vibrant, colorful and beautiful birds of the Himalayas made me huff and puff on the snow covered slopes of Tungnath (Chopta). I had almost given up hope to get a shot of the head turn as it was always ahead of me and scampering towards the edge of the cliff from where it could fly off.. As the Monal reached the edge of the cliff, it stopped for a moment and turned its head as if to check how far back i was...And this shot happened..
