Here are the pictures selected by the Jury for the Collection-33.
This photograph was captured in the Arabian Sea near Kavaratti Island, Lakshadweep, on 29/12/2025—a region where the ocean still holds a deep sense of freedom and rhythm. The sea that day was calm yet alive, painted in deep shades of blue, gently moving under the winter sun. As we moved across the open water, a small pod of dolphins began swimming alongside the boat, effortlessly riding the waves. Among them, this individual surfaced gracefully, cutting through the water with precision and energy.

In the heart of Jhalana, Rajasthan, a breathtaking encounter unfolds. The magnificent leopard, Rana, a ghost in the foliage, makes a leap of pure power & grace. Just beyond, the silent witness of humanity on two wheels. The image perfectly illustrates the unique urban-wild interface of Jhalana, where these majestic cats live in close proximity to human activity. A testament to the coexistence that is possible when conservation efforts are successful. The picture was taken on 16th August, 2025 in the morning.

SPINES AND SPORES: Don’t be afraid by seeing the sharp spines or stings? This is slug moth or cup moth caterpillar. Cup Moth larvae are often highly ornamented and brightly coloured. It has stinging spines called nettle caterpillars. A stinging slug caterpillar generally bears warning coloration and stinging hairs. These hairs can inject venom from poison sacs carried at their base that are used as defensive weapons. Reactions can range from a mild itching to a very painful sting. .We can see various types of caterpillars in our daily life from our backyard garden to jungle. Here I wanted to create eye-catchy and attractive image by combining stings with the mushroom spores. I have got this image at the forest called “SAL BON”, outskirts of Cooch Behar town. This forest is under social forestry department where I frequently go with my camera. This forest is full of flora and fauna. One of the main objectives behind my nature photography is to present nature to the people in such a way that they feel interest in knowing and understanding our nature. That's why I always want to photograph all the amazing, magical, unknown and unseen phenomenon of nature. To achieve this image I have to think and plan very hard. This is an in-camera multiple / double exposure image. Keeping the camera on a sturdy Sirui tripod I have taken both shots with Tamron 90 mm VC USD but in different places. I have used different white balance to achieve attractive colours.

The Ghost of the Morning Mist- Patience in the jungle is often rewarded in seconds. After tracking through the damp, cold fog of a Kanha winter morning, the veil finally lifted. As the "Tyndall effect" sent beams of light dancing through the trees, this magnificent tiger stepped into the clearing. The natural rim-lighting catches the condensation in the air and the texture of the tiger’s coat, immortalizing a perfect intersection of timing, light, and the raw beauty of the wild.

At the edge of the Sundarbans, where night gently yields to dawn, a flock of whistling ducks rises in quiet unison. They skim the river’s surface, their silhouettes cutting through mist as the first light turns water and sky into molten gold. This daily passage needs no signal—only instinct passed through generations. For a brief moment, wings, reflections, and sunrise align, dissolving boundaries between earth and air. Then the flock moves on, leaving behind still water and awakened light. In a landscape shaped by survival and rhythm, this fleeting flight becomes a reminder: even in the wildest places, harmony arrives with the morning.

About Photographer
Myself a visual story teller and a wildlife photographer from Kolkata. My photography journey began around 2016. In my initial days I was shooting anything and every thing and I was not quite sure which area to focus on. Later on I found a strong connection with nature, birds being an integral part of it and I realised my genre of photography. Currently I am working with an MNC, but I am obsessed with wildlife photography and am striving to make a mark in it.
