JACKSON D SOUZA

Udupi (Karnataka)

About Photographer
I am an autodidact photographer with good patience and passion towards nature. The journey of photography started with a beginner's camera exploring the aesthetics of nature. Initiated with the love of nature then turned into passion for wildlife photography without my knowledge. Photography led me to learn and explore the habitats of species in nature and to explore the locations for specific species. I enjoy my passion and love being a part of nature.

Leopard sitting on his throne and seems like watching his kingdom. This image was clicked in Jhalana Forest Reserve, everyone was busy clicking another Leopard which was just infront and this Leopard suddenly came at the top of the hill. Shot was taken very early morning and against the light so only the silhouette of Leopard could be seen. This shot adds mystery to this otherwise elusive cat.

Dominant Tigress from Ranthambore - There are ruins scattered across Ranthambore tiger reserve. Those are remnants of structures built in eighth century AD. There have been tigers here who love to roam inside these ruins. A tiger emerging out of the gate of one such fort structure can be a really lucky and rare sight. I had to be patient for years in order to be present there when it happened. Tiger looks at you just for a fraction of second before looking down towards stairs

Sumit Das

Gurgaon (Haryana)

About Photographer
Passionate about nature and wildlife. Nothing is more peaceful than the sound of wind, flowing water stream, a tree talking through its leaves and trunk. No better sight than a snow clad mountain, green forest, rivers and grasslands. I love capturing the beautiful emotions of the wild animals and birds in their natural home. Lucky to be in India, where there is so much of diversity and opportunity to capture multiple species of birds and animals

The herd appeared by the river in the afternoon. After quenching their thirst and cooling down they started feeding the fresh grass from the river’s flood plain. These two female elephants and their respective babies were seemed to have special bonding as they were sticking together. One of the babies, after feeding for some time, probably got tired and sat next the mother in an unusual posture. I found it very interesting and shot this image.
