Family is everything ! These Rhesus Macaques sit huddled up together on a cold foggy morning on the main road side at Keoladeo Ghana National Park. The young once are held tightly by the mothers, to keep them safe from cold, while they peep with curiosity, what the human is doing sitting close by them ! One of them even approached me and looked inside my lens-hood to check for food ! Their eyes are so beautiful and expressive and the light falling on them was absolutely beautiful ! A simple yet very intriguing moment in my diary of experiences ! Gear used: Sony alpha 1 + FE 400mm f 2.8 GM OSS Exif - ISO 800, f4.5, 1/80 Location: Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Bharatpur, Rajasthan

Saving the Shrew: The Madras Shrew or Tree Shrew which resembles a squirrel is nearly impossible to photograph. An endangered species endemic to India, I felt privileged to have been granted a rare sighting in the wildlife preserve of BR HILLS and be able to make a contribution towards the visual documentation of this frisky, playful creature, so that we can gather more information and do our best to save it from extinction. Nothing compares to the beauty of unspoiled nature and it is our duty to leave a pristine planet for those who will inherit it from us. Preservation and Conservation are imperative to fulfill this aim.

I took this shot at one of my favorite places which I am sure is heaven for many photographers, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary gives some amazing opportunities to experiment. It was dawn in a foggy day and the group of spotted deer was getting ready for the day. I wanted to draw the importance of habitat here which is the most important aspect of wildlife.

This place in Coochbehar district of West Bengal being quiet and contained fruit-trees is full of variety of bird-species. While roaming around the place, I found some banana trees where sunbirds were chirping. Butterflies were also coming on the Banana Flowers/ blossoms. It was sunny afternoon; I waited there and found this female purple sunbird taking dips on this floral bathtub to beat the heat to cool itself. Generally, it is often seen that the birds recharge themselves towards the end of a day by taking bath in a small pool of stagnant rainwater stored on petals, potholes etc.

A lonely elephant visiting the water body to quench its thirst. This image was captured at Bandipur Tiger Reserve. The flora and fauna of the forest is best witnessed during the monsoon period. The various layers formed by water body, tall grass, thick forest tress, beautiful Nilgiri mountains at the backdrop and cloudy skies give life to this image. Even the giant of the forest looks tiny in such vast scape.
