THE FLOCK FLYING FAST. In winter, visitors come to West Bengal from Southern Europe and Central Asia. Both pictures of Red-crested Pochard sitting and flying in the mustard flower background bring another dimension. Pochard's sails would fly fast and I would take pictures on slow-shutter but the big challenge for me was to keep one of Pochard's whole body in motion and focus only on the eyes. I only took a whole year to take this kind of picture with mustard flower background.

It’s always been my dream to be a wildlife photographer. When I was 15 I bought my first camera but I never got the chance to go to a national park. A few years later, I went to my first national park and never looked back ever since. I’m an amateur photographer who is still learning but I’m definitely glad that I’m following my passion and doing what I love!
Among all the Royal Bengal Tigers of the world, the only Sundarban tiger is called Swamp tiger separately. They are also called "semi aquatic". Our Sundarbans tigers are smaller in size than other tigers. Although one of the reasons is that they have to live in a much more difficult environment than other forests. Swimming in river current at low tide or High tide, walking on mud etc. made their body fit. A 150-170 kg animal is thought to walk effortlessly through the mud. It's hard to believe how much power this is possible without seeing it with your own eyes... In this picture you can see the glimpse of that thought. On Oct 2022 when I took this photo at Sundarban I saw that the huge male tiger almost dig into the mud, the flow of the tyde water drowning from the jungle but it's seems nothing to him, he was comfortably walking. This was proof that how strong the swamp tiger could be.

The White-Lipped Pit Viper was one of my target viper species. I found it in daylight while searching for a few bird species and this is how I found this carpenter's ant coming out from a tree branch searching for food over this beautiful snake.

I still remember my childhood days, when I used to sit for hours - observing the activities of the little ants, the birds and the stray animals. On getting my first Smart Phone - on clicking that first picture that's still behind my eyes, I realised that "Wow, this is something amazing." I could now capture the moments I witnessed and let others see those too. After learning photography basics from mobile, I finally got my first Camera - Canon 700d. What I used to think of as a fun activity had now became my passion. I dived more into this thing and finally started my journey of Wildlife Photography. 8 months back I bought a professional wildlife kit and now ready for unlimited crazy experiences..!!!
